2019 in Review

God’s grace and your partnership have made this a great year for the Reverb Network! We’re grateful for:

  1. Our new national director Alex Freeman in Liberia (and Guinea) and a number of serving leadership cohorts that are continuing to develop and expand both in the cities and rural areas.
  2. Our Uganda National Director Daniel Byamukama and his leadership team who have set a goal to start a serving leadership cohort in all 10 towns in their region. We’re also grateful that Reverb Network Uganda now exists as a non-profit entity in this country.
  3. Alex Sokori in South Sudan who pastors and develops leaders despite all the chaos and turmoil in his civil-war torn country. Only recently has he been able to return with his family from a refugee camp. His long-term goal is to launch new cohorts in three other regions of his nation.
  4. Dr. Bella Guillaume in Cameroon as he continues to expand serving leadership cohorts (in French) with the assistance of Daniel Byamukama from Uganda. Please continue to pray for our English speaking leaders in a cohort from the Cameroon Baptist convention; their continued training in Phases 3-4 is still on hold due to the on-going civil war in their nation.
  5. Pastor Prince Ubi in Nigeria and his cohort of 40 leaders have trained 380 leaders and launched three new cohorts and 40 coaching groups that are meeting each month.
  6. Ndizeye Richard and his team of 40 leaders in Burundi who have launched six more cohorts, three which have completed Phase 2 and three that have completed Phase 1. Their long-term goal is to launch a serving leadership cohort in every province in Burundi.
  7. 45 leaders trained in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) by our Ugandan National Director, Daniel Byamukama, who have gone on to launch two new cohorts this year.
  8. The opportunity Fred Waggoner had to travel to Kenya in early December to conduct a Phase 2 training alongside key leader Elijah Ombati for a group of 40 leaders. This group of 40 leaders represents 22 different churches where they have been teaching Phase 1 material to their local leaders.
  9. The privilege Harold Carpenter and Luke Kuepfer had to conduct a Phase 3 training in Nepal with key leader Man Tamang and his team.
  10. The two groups in Thailand Luke Kuepfer trained in Phase 1.

TRANSLATIONS UPDATE: We have currently Phases 1-3 translated into French, and most of Phase 1 in Luganda and Thai with ongoing work in all three languages.

It is one thing for a leader to have a vision; it is quite another thing to be able to effectively communicate that vision to others so that they will embrace and internalize it.

Godly leaders must first have a vision of who God is, the future He holds for them, and a sense of what He has called them to do.
